ERIK OSTLUND, GCSAA., GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT

Erik has been the Golf Course Superintendent at Desert Pines since July 2007.  He brings over 17 years of progressive course experience to Desert Pines including 11 years as a Golf Course Superintendent directing course operations at 5 Star Resorts, Private Country Clubs as well as High End daily fee facilities.  His experience enables him to provide superior course conditions that are sure to make you, the guest, want to come back again and again. 

Originally from Fargo, North Dakota, Erik has spent most of his career in Phoenix, Arizona.  His experience as Superintendent includes The Phoenician Resort, The Westin Kierland Resort, Legend Trail Golf Club, Seville Golf and Country Club as well as LochenHeath Golf Club in Traverse City, Michigan.

His hobbies are no less demanding than his profession.  He is always busy trying to keep the rubber side down while riding his Harley, or keeping a plane in the air as he completes his training for his private pilots license.  All of this and he still finds time to chase a little white ball around at Desert Pines.  

JUDY ANDRADE, BANQUET SALES MANAGER

Judy is the engine that drives the F & B operations at Desert Pines. She is responsible for Duffer's Bar & Grill as well as the Practice Center Snack Bar and on-course beverage cart service. Additionally, she oversees the catering of numerous golf outings, business meetings, parties and weddings each year.

DAVID LIPKINS, TOURNAMENT COORDINATOR

David Lipkins has been a part of the Walter's Family since 2005 starting over at Royal Links Golf Club where he was also the Tournament Coordinator. He brings over 20 years experience in the service & entertainment industry as he was a on air radio personality prior to his full time transition to the golf industry.

An Ohio native and graduate of Ohio University, David was actually a late bloomer in golf as he didn't pick up the game until his football career was over, and like most athletes, he became addicted immediately. His diligence and dedication to the game has enabled him to be one of the top Tournament Directors in Southern Nevada, and his personable demeanor has endured him to countless customers who look forward to his signature "IT'S SHOWTIME" commentary before their event begins. "It starts and ends with our customers as nothing make me happier than bringing a smile to their face knowing they are completely satisfied".

David's passion is golf as he is looking to try out for the Senior Tour when he is eligible.

MIKE DAVIS, PGA MASTER INSTRUCTOR, DIRECTOR GOLF INSTRUCTION

Mike Davis is recognized as one of the top instructors in the country, being chosen by GOLF Magazine for their prestigious Top 100 Instructor list and has been ranked the #2 instructor in Nevada since 2002 by Golf Digest. Mike has played on the PGA Tour in the mid-seventies. He has been chosen Instructor of the Year fifteen times by different PGA Chapters and Sections. Mike is also an expert in the field of video instruction, having won an award for his research from the World Scientific Congress of Golf. Mike has written articles for regional and national magazines for the past thirty years including the September 2005 issue of Golf Digest and numerous articles in GOLF Magazine. He is also the Director of Instruction for VegasGolfer Magazine and writes eight articles every year.

RON BOSLER, PGA INSTRUCTOR AT DESERT PINES

Ron Boslar has taught golf for over 34 years. He received a Masters in Education ten years ago, which has helped him greatly as a golf instructor. Ron has instructed in Missouri, Kansas, Arizona, California and, most recently, Hawaii. He has had much success in assisting golfers of all ability levels. His enthusiasm and passion for the game of golf makes learning from Ron very enjoyable.
